Cape Town foreshore

The foreshore is an area of land which was reclaimed from the sea in the 1930s and 1940s. Notable landmarks here are:

CTICC

Cape Town International Convention Centre

Statue of Bartholomeu Dias

Rounded the Cape in 1488.

Statues of Jan van Riebeeck & his wife, Maria de la Queillerie.

Established the first permanent European settlemen in the Cape.

The War Memorial (Statues of 2 soldiers with rifles)
 
Artscape theatre

Cape Town city centre. Top notch dramas, operas & ballets can be experienced at the Artscape. The Artscape has 3 auditoriums. The Opera House seats 1200, the main Theatre seats 540, the Arena seats 120.

Railway Station

Vibrant, loads of people here. Be very aware of potential criminals when walking around this area.
