Suitable if you are of moderate fitness.
On the Kalk Bay side of Boyes Drive look for a green signboard with "Echo Valley" written on it. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes of hiking up a steep uphill to get to the "Weary Willy" junction.
From Weary Willy junction, take the branch to the north (to your right). This section is more gentle than the first. The Spes Bona forest is a pocket of indigineous yellowwood and milkwood trees.
This section of the hike is through rocky landscape, with many indigineous King proteas and various species of ericas. Sunbirds (malachites) can be spotted, if you are fortunate. The Amphitheatre is a sandy clearing above Echo Valeey, from which there is a stunning view across False Bay to Cape Hangklip.
