Hot Air Ballooning	Start off by going hot air ballooning, to get a bird's eyeview of Cape Town.
Cape Town safari	Whilst other parts of South Africa are much better known for safaris, there are a few opportunities for days trips to Cape Town safari sites.
Beaches	Exquisite white-sanded beaches, e.g. Camps Bay and Clifton
V&A Waterfront	A shipping-dock area with the shopping centre, restaurants and hotels surrounding it.
Chapmans Peak Drive	A scenic drive from Hout Bay to Noordhoek, along a road blasted into the cliffside.
Cape Point	A towering headland at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula, forming Africa's most south-western point.
Table Mountain	The mountain which towers above Cape Town city. The easiest way to the top is with the Table Mountain Cableway.

Ministrel carnival	A tradition of the Cape Coloured community, taking place on the second day of the year (tweedenuwejaar). Brightly costumed bands exuberantly make their way through Cape Town's streets from the Grand Parade to Green Point.

Historical interest
District Six museum	The District Six Museum was established in 1994, illustrating many of the experiences associated with living in the multi-cultural community before its destruction. It includesh handwritten notes from residents, actual street signs from the area and before/after photos.
The Castle	In the City Centre, built by the Dutch to defend the Cape.

Gay activities
Gay Film festival	Usually takes place near the start of the year, in January/February.
Mother City Queer Project	MCQP is arguably the biggest gay party of the year. It takes place annually in December.
