Recently (2005) reintroduced to the park, initially 9 on Table Mountain and 16 on the mountains near Simon's Town. Klipspringers were last seen on Table Mountain in the 1930s, having been hunted to local extinction for their skins. Listen for their distinctive whistles while hiking on Table Mountain (you'll be lucky to see a klipspringer).
